2024 Charlotte Fall Lacrosse League
Who We Are: Developing great lacrosse players. It's what we do. As Charlotte's Leader in Lacrosse Instruction, we take pride in helping athletes become better lacrosse players. Team 91 Charlotte Fall and Winter 7v7 Leagues are structured to give lacrosse players more opportunities to play games outside of their Spring and travel seasons.
Defining the Charlotte Fall Lacrosse League: The Charlotte Fall Lacrosse League is Charlotte's fastest offseason league! Our 7v7 format creates a faster tempo providing athletes with more opportunities to handle the ball and be more involved in the action. Lacrosse players of all ages need more touches and live play reps to develop their game. Our 7v7 format on a shorter field means plays are constantly involved in the action.
All players use short sticks, similar to the indoor box lacrosse model, which helps them improve their footwork, positioning and stick skills. Participants also have the opportunity to play different positions on the field throughout the season so that they are constantly learning different parts.
What To Except During League Play: Each game will include two, 22-minute running time halves, played with 2 attackmen, 2 midfielders, 2 defensemen (no long poles!) and a goalie. There will be a face-off at the beginning of each half while all other possessions begin with the goaltender clearing the ball out of the cage.
By using a shorter field with fewer players and limited face-offs, participants have more opportunities to play offense and defense throughout each game.
