About Team 91 South: The Team 91 South program was created to give the best players in the Southeast an opportunity to train and compete together against the best teams at the best events in the country. On the field, players in the Team 91 South program will receive the highest level of exposure, instruction and development. Off the field, players will create friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
In 2024/2025, the Team 91 South program is open to players from any club program. However, the best way to avoid scheduling issues and create the best experience possible is to play for a Team 91 program or a Charleston Elite program. A player's primary club program will be factored in to the evaluation process due to the potential scheduling conflicts or other conflicts of interest.
Team 91 South will field teams at the 2026-2032 graduation years. When appropriate, Team 91 South will field two teams at each age. Each team will attend events that are appropriate for their competitive level.
Age Verification:
in 2023, the National Lacrosse Federation (NLF) and USA Lacrosse announced that they have entered into a transformational partnership that will bring age verification to the boys’ club lacrosse landscape. As a Team 91 South player you are thereby a participating player within NLF events which will be require all players to play under these new rulings..
For the 2024-25 club year, in graduation years 2030, 2031 and 2032, the NLF has chosen to implement a 15-month timeframe (June 1 birthdate through August 31 of the following year) for its age groupings. The NLF clubs are expected to continue using graduation years as the team names, but all players will fit within the 15-month groupings. This will help minimize team roster disruptions and to incentivize classmates playing together.
Please review the table to the below to help determine where your player lands grad year wise in order to ensure that you are registering them for the correct tryout and potential team roster.

Tryout Details: In 2024, Team 91 South will hold three different tryouts:
- North Florida - Date TBD
- South Florida - Date TBD
- Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, July 27th
Tryout Cost: Tryouts will cost $50 and each player will receive a reversible.

North Carolina Tryout Details
Location: Matthews Sportsplex - Fields 1-4 (2425 Sports Pkwy, Matthews, NC 28105)
Saturday, July 27th, 2024 (Charlotte)
Players should arrive 30-45 minutes before their tryout to begin check-in.
9:00am-10:30am - 2032 and 2031 tryouts- Fields 1-4
10:30am-12:00pm - 2030 and 2029 tryouts - Fields 1-4
12:00pm-1:00pm - 2032 and 2031 call back games, if needed
1:00pm-2:00pm - 2030 and 2029 call back games, if needed
12:30pm-2:00pm - 2026 tryouts - Fields 3 and 4
2:00pm-3:30pm - 2027 and 2028 Tryouts - Fields 1-4
3:30pm-4:30pm - 2026 call back game, if needed
4:00pm-5:00pm - 2027 and 2028 call game games, if needed
Players will be notified on the Charlotte "Call Back Game" via email 30 minutes prior to the start of their grad year's game.
Invitations:
Players will be notified of their selection by August 3rd with a deposit due by August 5th to hold your position on the team. A second round of invitations will be sent starting August 5th with deposits due by 8th, if needed.
2024/2025 Team 91 South Schedule
Teams will play 1 Fall/Winter event and 2 Summer events. Specific events will be included when team invites are sent but the following events will be considered for Team 91 South teams. Once announced, Team 91 South officials will communicate any changes as the events calendar continues to evolve. Events with a * indicate events we are most likely to attend. Other events will be considered as options, if needed.
